Can we have a dependant on EAD?

My wife and kid are going to continue based on her EAD which we are expecting the approval by June end. I am on L1 visa and trf to India. So, I am not going to have L1 status and consequently they will not have L2 visa. I want them to continue till we get our AOS approved.
Is that possible? Anybody can share the similar exp or INS regulations.

If you have an adjustment status file, you and
your spouse are entitled to apply for EAD until
you AOS is adjudicated.
