Has any tried getting an iEAD before 90 days of applying for renewal?

There might be a situation when the EAD of a person is expiring and the person applied for renewal 90 days ahead of it. But if for some reasons the INS does not issue a notice for 1-2 months then can a person go to local INS and get iEAD ?
 
I'm not sure if anyone has got IEAD within 90 days of applying the EAD renewal. Also can you give specifics about ur current EAD. so it will be easy for everyone to answer your question better.

My EAD is expiring in mid May. My attorney filed for renewal in the last week of March.

Is it possible to get iEAD from local INS before mid May (i.e. well within 90 days of applying for renewal)?
