Can we file two different I-485s, employment based and non-employment

Why would you want to?

File based on the DV, and if you cannot get it done in time amend the I-485 to make it based on your approved I-140. Why you would want to pay twice the filing fees is beyond me.
 
my 485 which is employment based is already filed but in case(hypothetical) if DV

has to be filed then is it ok to have both keep rolling to be on the safe side. you know emp based
485 always has some risk in this economic condition. Opinions are welcome. Where are those
experts that we used to have on this site?
 
could somebody explain what \'DV\' is in this context?

I thought DV was "diversity visa", the immigrant visa which is awarded via lottery... how does DV apply here?
