can we do FP in other state?

Hello

My wife received her 2nd FP notice. It has our old Chicago
residence address. (We had sent address change notice and
also called the INS service center to update the address when we had moved to California.)

Can we go to the nearest support center in California even though FP notice has Chicago address?

Just to update all of you....

Today Oct 9th, 2003 we went to our nearest INS support center in California for fingerprinting. It went smooth. The officer asked us about our Illinois address. We told him that it is our old address and we have already sent a change of address notice to INS. That's it.

Also we did not have original notice with us. We took the fax copy sent by our lawyer.

Hope this info might be useful to some of you.
