Can we do affidevit for a birth certicate in US

I lost birth certificate for my daughter . I have already submitted a copy of her birth certificate( which we lost now) to I485 filing.
We got interview call . Since I do not have her origival birth certificate what should I do? I was thinking of getting it affidevit from the notary.

Please comment.

If you have atleast a weeks time then i would suggest to take copy of the original birth certificate from the municipal corporation or panchayat which cost few hundred bugs and courier it to you.

Check with your attorney they will tell you exactly what to do. Consulting the attorney is the imm. best solution
