can waiver jobs be applied in the states other than the state of finishing residency?

Dear All,

May be a trivial query.. But i'm not clear with the fact that " are Physicians who did their training on J1 eligible for searching for the Waiver jobs in their state of residency/training only? under Conrad or any program like the VA..."
or they can search the job anywhere in USA??
please enlighten me on the issue or direct me to favorable link if this issue has already been discussed...

thanx in advance

you can look for a J1 waiver job anywhere. You are not limited to your state of residency.
This forum and its links and stickys is the best resource on the web to navigate the J1 quagmire

You can go wherever you find a suitable job. Read around here, it is a treasure trove of information and others experiences.

One thing to keep in mind is the fact that every state has 30 Conrad positions, whether it is South Dakota with 500k population or California with 35mil population. So, if you are a betting man, SD will give you better odds than Cali.
