Can two companies process GC for one person

Hi Gurus,

I came to USA on H1B Visa on June 11th, 2000 from company A.
I worked for company A for 1 year and resigned.
Joined company B and worked for 4 years and they filed my labor in Aug 2003 and as of today it is not approved and employer did not cancel the labor processing.
I resigned this company B in Sep 2005 and joined company C
Company C started my GC processing and filed for labor thru PERM process on November 10th, 2005 as of today labor is not approved.
As company C cannot file for my 7th year extension based on
the labor filed on November 10th, 2005 (do not have 365 days)
they said based on labor approval and I-140 approval notice they will file for 7th year extension from July 2006, assuming I'll get my labor and I-140 gets approved.
Now if the labor from company B (which was filed on Aug 2003)
gets approved then shall I continue my GC processing from
Company B while working for Company C ?
And do I have to notify the Company C that my GC processing is
going on with Company B?
I mean can two companies do the entire GC processing for me alone
independently while I work for only one company at this time ?
Or can I take the labor from company B and give it to Company C
to file I-140 and proceed further ?
Is the labor certification portable from one company to another
company ?
And also can I keep it confidential the name of the Company C to
the company B ?
I appreciate your help,

Thanks,
Naveen.
