Can this be USCIS is going to approve both 140 and 485?

My husband’s coworker got her 140 approved about one week after she filed her 140 RFE response. My husband got the same RFE (ability to pay) same day as she received the RFE, and filed response at least five days earlier than her, but has not got any approval yet. His 140 RFE receipt date was 1/28/2004, LUD for 140 remained as 2/1/2005 and never changed.

However, today when I checked our account, I found both my husband’s and my 485 cases just got a new LUD on 2/17/2005. (the last LUD for my husband was 7/23/2004, when his fingerprint results were back. And 10/15/2004 when my FP results back).

My husband’s 140 and 485 were concurrently filed. Does this new update on our 485 mean anything? Maybe USCIS, instead of approving 140 first like they did to the coworker, is actually reviewing both 140 and 485 and likely will approve both (or in worst scenario, reject both)? Or it’s just because my husband’s 485 RD has passed the current processing date (he filed 485 on 5/28/2004, while current 485 processing date is 6/7/2004) so USCIS picked up his case and was able to link my case with his (I filed my 485 three months later than him)?

Is this a good sign or bad sign?

Leeeleele,

I have a LUD change of Feb 17th for my I140. I really don't think it means much. Most of the time the LUDs change due to internal processing issues. If we are lucky, the LUD change will result in approval in the next couple of days. I am keeping my expectations lower....wait and see...
