Can the lawyers find out about Name Check?

Please help me with this issue.

My lawyer told me today that she will get an update on my case from the district office. After an hour she called to say that our application has gone for Name Check. :mad:

Is it possible for the lawyer to get this information so quickly? Should we believe this?? :confused:

I am really anxious to know. Please respond.

some time ago CSC had a dedicated phone # for emergency. i called it several times. the officer usually asked: are you lawyer? or what is your emergency? i honestly answered that i'm not a lawyer and i don't have any emergency, but calling this number is my only chance to know what is going on with my case. often the officer said he/she can't answer my questions because there is no emergency, but from time to time one of them actually looked into my file and told me what was going on with my case (for example, that it was waiting for name check). it took about 2 minutes.

so your lawyer can find out about name check pretty fast

the number i called is (949) 389-3007; I read in many posts that they don't give any information to applicants now, may be they still answer to lawyers

Will sending a mail to Mr.Williams throw some light in this issue? Our PD is 2001 and so the chances of approval is high this year. Hence this panic....
