Can tax filing as single lead to a denied adjustment of status for husband

We both just graduated college and my parents needed to file me as a dependent on their taxes. I selected single for my 2012 taxes, now my question is will that choice lead to a denial of adjustment of status for my husband?

Were you married in 2012? If yes, file an amended return for 2012 to change your tax status to Married, and pay the additional taxes (if any) before filing for adjustment of status (or before the interview, if you already filed for AOS). It's possible you might even get a refund, especially if only one of you worked last year.

Your parents may also need to amend their returns if they named you as a dependent.
