I\'ve never been able to talk to an IIO. It\'s always busy... any ideas?

Secondly, is the information on "case assigned" or "case not assigned yet" provided by an IIO reliable??

Approximately how much time to approval after IIO says "case assigned"?
Thanks.

My Rd 05/07, ND 07/09, FP 10/31 ..don\'t know if case is assigned yet or not.

Keep dialing continuously around 10.30 . This might help . By the way,
does your AVM say processing is resumed?

Tks, syngreen ..Yes

AVM changed on Dec29 to "processing resumed..bla bla bla" from the earlier Nov16 message.

Do you know of any case where IIO said "case not assigned" but infact the case had been assigned and the person received their approval soon after the call to IIO. Just trying to figure if it\'s worth calling an IIO. Thanks.

Spoke to IIO. The guy had an indian accent!!!! Anyway he said for my case, all agency checks have been received. But not yet assigned.

Aww! some more waiting. :-(

But you can enjoy the fact that all agency checks have been received. It is now just a matter of time. As a favor can you post ur details in this thread please. I know you are in one of the lists maintained by PceeGcee, but please post again so folks around your dates know what to expect. Thanks, syngreen.

Rd : 05/23 ND :08/05 WAc : 01-243-xxxxx FP done: 11/28 AVM says : FP
received on 12/06. Still wondering why AVM does not say processing resumed.

No Change to my AVM even after FP

The last time I spoke to INS 12/27, I was told FP recd; my case is with officer. But even yesterday, AVM has the std mesg "975 to 999 days...bla bla ba...". In your case atleast there is some update.

syngreen, I saw 1 poster I think...

who had similar FP dates as you and had their AVM changed to resumed. But, I also saw another poster with the same dates in addition to you who did not see a change in AVM to resumed. I think a safe assumption is that the AVM msg change to resumed is because of a batch process and the last batch got most if not all cases that had a msg like "on 11/16...fp\'s were collected ... pending review". And no, I don\'t think that this change in avm means that the case is assigned. I will only believe that "resumed" means assigned to officer if I see several, not just a few, postings saying that IIO\'s confirmed that their cases has been assigned. I\'ll believe it when I see it. I think "resumed" does mean that all agency check reports have been received and that the case is adjudication-ready simply because there is no need to change AVM msg from "pending" to "resumed" otherwise.
Bottomline, I think there will be another batch that will pick up from where the last one left off and mass-change avm\'s again. Just don\'t hold your breath on it. Thanks for posting your details again.

sravspan1, You gotta remember that ...

folks who got their FP notices after Oct 1 were in the National scheduling system. Those folks are seeing the avm change based on FP status. Even if you did your FP in October or later but your FP notice was churned out by the earlier scheduling process, you will still see the "975 to 999 days" bullshit. I don\'t know why. What are your FP related details? That may throw some light on your case.
Bottomline, those old FP cases will be assigned for adjudication even without avm change. I know it is frustrating to not know about progress at all unless you talk to IIO or heard approved or RFE message. But, if you have been assigned, you may go ahead and book that yacht and keep the champagne on ice. I heard Beluga Caviar goes famously with champagne, god knows I can\'t afford it. I will pamper myself with Heineken(shh! don\'t tell my wife) when my time comes. I don\'t know why "chicken 65" just popped into my head. I am hungry now....
