Hi ,

I hope some one can help me.

Me and my wife work for the same company and have same post . Our employer is a big accounting firm . My firm is ready to do our green card processing and we have a conference call with the attorney next week . Here is a brief back ground of our job descriptions

Me and my wife are tilted as " Senior associates" . .The position requires 2-3 years experience with Bachelor degree. Managers position require 5-7 years of experience and a CPAI have Bachelors degree ( CA from India ) and have 6 six years of experience. My wife has CPA with four years of experience .

My questions are

1. What category we are eligible for ( Eb1 /Eb2) ? The filing will be done separate for me and my wife .

2. I read retrogression dates is an issue ? what is this mean? Cant figure out.

3. What are the basic questions , I need to ask my attorney . What things should I take care of from beginning.

I will appreciate any useful comments .

Thanks

I am in the same boat as you are. If someone can point out the category under which I can file my GC.

I have a Masters (MBA) from india with total four years of experience and other certificatiosn(CIA, CISA). I am currently working as a senior consultant with a big four accounting firm in IT audit group. However the position requires Bachelors degress and 2 to 3 years of experience (as advertised on companies website). Although most of the people have masters and have more experience. Based on the requirement, I am under the impression that I would only be eligible for EB3.

I still have to wait around 6 to 8 months before I can file for greencard. Can someone point out under what category I can apply and if there are any other considerations to keep in mind.

UNited NAtions,

The recent Visa numbers forecated for FY 2005, 2006 and 2007 by USCIS, saying they have used up all numbers due to AC21, it is a bif confusing. What do they actually mean ?

If you can elucidate, that will be great.

Thank You
