Can someone PLEASE tell me the truth

My story goes aomething like this:

Out of status for over 5 years

LC: Submit 1/98 - Approve 6/2000

Next step submitted 7/2000 (2 month before 9/11 and the bad luck continues). Final approval 5/2002

I- 485 ND 6/2002

FP 7/2002

So? will I ever get approved? (in the system since 98). Does any one know my PD? If INS (BCIS) is working on 485 submitted 11/2001 I will basically NEVER will get approved.

Any thoughts? Lawyer say "Wait 485 takes about a year" , but he was not right before (i.e LC timing)

It is hard to predict timings for INS but most 485s are taking between 1 to 2 yrs based on the center u filed with, RFEs, etc. You can check the status of people with similar NDs at same center as yours at www.rupnet.com.
