My husband is an American citizen, he filed for my children who are 10yrs and 7yrs old respectively, it has been about a year now since we filed and the pettition has not been approved yet, My children are going through a lot right now since their grandmother who was taking care of them passed away, does anyone know what I can do to expadite my children's apporoval? please someone with a similar experience tell me what steps to take next. Our pettion was filed on 3/15/2002. and the INS requested additional info which was the original marriage certificate, we sent it to them on 9/2/2002, and we still have not heard anything yet. the webpage is saying that since they had finished the preliminary process before requesting for additional information our processing time will be approximately 999 days. Is this normal?
