So, I got married back in March. Filled all the documents begining of May. Got the Notice shortly after. Mid June they sent out a notice requesting more evidence in regards to the sponsor. My wife did not qualify so we joint sponsored with our best man. However, apparently we did not write the letter as to why she did not have the tax returns. Anywayz, finally got a notice for biometrics october 2nd. Did my biometrics today, oct 11th. STILL NO FREAKING NEWS ON MY 785. how long does it possibly take to get that damn EAD. and apparently local offices are not scheduling for anymore of iEAD so now i just need to sit and wait i guess, but how long? does anyone know.
THNX

I applied for my ead in june got a rfe and finally got my ead sept 21st
so it can take abit to get your ead after a rfe, mine was pretty quick or so they tell me :) good luck the waiting is always the hardest

Ok. You should get your EAD at any time now. They will mail the approval notice along with your card. After you get it you will need to go to the Social Security Administration Office to request your Social Security Card. If your info from Immigration has been put in the system; they will give you a letter stating that you have applied for and will receive your Social Security Card. They may provide the number to you on a printout sheet and you can use that for your job search (keep in mind some employers want to see the actual card). Be prepared for the fact that your info may not be in the system and if not then you will have to wait to get your card estimately 4 more weeks (like me  ) so try to keep cool and be patient. Good luck to you.

Also, make sure all information is correct on your paperwork (namespelling, dates, etc.)
