Can somebody give me a summary about taking my car while immigrating ?

I am a lilttle confused about how I can take my car to Canada and return in a day or two.

I saw some posting saying that I have to be there for a few months to get the cards etc. Can I leave Canada in a day or two ?

Also, what can I tell if I dont want to take my car after immigrating. I would prefer to sell it I guess in US. Is there any advantage to taking my car there ?

Depends on what car do u have .

If it is relatively new and would not have a problem complying with Canada Motor vehicle laws , you will just spend 182$ + any modifications if needed and you can have your car registered in canada

You will save money to buy a new car ...
 
my car is relatively new 2002 and should pass the laws. But I am not thinking of moving immediately. I am hoping to do so maybe in a year and I dont want it to be a burden as I read several posting. Are cars expensive in canada compared to US ?

Also, can I leave canada a few days after landing to US since I have not yet resigned and hope to finish my current project before doing so.
