Can some one please help us about August Visa bulletins

I am a Ugandan and my CN is DV2014AF00015XXX. As you all well know on this forum, each one of us that was randomly selected in the dv 2014 is patiently and anxiously waiting to know which CN numbers are going to be currently available in the forth coming August Visa Bulletins 2013.

I would love some one outside their to faithfully help me and my other dv 2014 lottery winners to understand how to interpret this relevant information that will be published in the forth coming August Visa bulletins so that we all know when our Case numbers will be current.

For example, since i am coming from Africa, How will i know whether my CN is current out of that big total that is shown to receive the second letter of notification

In the second column if it says number e.g. 12345678 for Africa region = during August below 12345678 will be called as there is available visa
if it says "current" in the second column all have the chance

Hello my friend,

If you look at this link http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html you'll understand the process as it is quite simple.

Basically the visa bulletin for each month (scroll right at the bottom of each bulletin) contains the cut-off numbers for the DV process for each region respectively.

We're still in DV2013 therefore the visa bulletin you will be looking to will be for September 2013 which will have the cut-offs for September 2013 and the new DV2014 which starts on fiscal year October 1st 2013.

Keep checking the bulletin on the 12th or 15th of each month to ascertain the cut-off for your respective region. For example if the cut-off for Africa for let us say December is 20,000 that means your number of 15XXX falls within that range so you become current. If the number is lower than your case number that means you are not current yet. It is as simple as that.
