can/should I travel

Hi Folks!
I'm looking for advice/opinion here...

My H1 in my passport expires Nov 2004
I have AP valid till Oct 2005
Can/should I travel in Dec 2004?

Also what docs should I carry with me?

It doesn't matter. He can travel with AP even on H1.

Ofcourse you can travel. That is what AP is for, its a travel document.

Make sure..

Just make sure you were never out of status.If you were ever OOS
then there could be problems entering on AP.

skumar2003, good catch!!!! yes, if you are in the process of AOS, and need to leave the country, you are safe utilizing AP, assuming you were never out of status. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to re-enter the US.
