My friend who is here as an F1 statuse applied and received her work permit valid for one year last year. In June this will expire, is it possible for her to reapply and receive an extention based on her situation? She is not currently in school since she was granted permission to work for one year, however she wants to continue her education to acheive her bachelors' degree but she cannot afford to pay for the tuition and her sister who was completed the affidavit of support originally cannot afford to meet the financial amount again. Besides she was first going to a community college now she wants to go to 4 year instituion where the tuition is higher. What can she do to be able to attend school and work and be in legal standing?
Can she renew work permit?
