Just curious if a Request for Evidence while processing your EAD application can cause delays in the I-485 application? Or are they totally independant? The reason I am asking is that it took about 9 weeks before I could send back my response to the evidence request. Could that have caused my I-485 application to be kept pending for that period of time?

Can RFE for EAD delay your main I-485 processing time?

Never heard of such RFE. Anyways it takes more that 10 months to receive an interview. What is your DO. GO to the USCIS website and check whta receipt date they are processing and you can have an idea.jac2005 said:So the RFE was to either provide proof that I had registered with the NSEERS or that this did not apply to me.
