iam currently working on H1-B for a postion in my company. There is an identical opening as mine in the company. They have posted in 2 sunday editions and professioanl journals (meets all the ad requirments for perm processing) but have been unsuccessful in finding a candidate. The 180 time window has not crossed. Can a perm be filed on my behalf. Iam already working for the firm for the similar position. I know that the perm is for future postion. Is there a way a perm can be filled on my behalf and not have it rejected based on the fact that iam already working for the firm for the same position?
