Can Parents enter U.S. on Reentry permit

Hi,

I filed for my parents greencard 2 years ago and they were interviewed and stamped at JFK airport. They also applied for an extension to the reentry permit and received it.

The problem is that they have not received the greencard. Now they are planning to come to the u.s. this summer. Can they enter the U.S. on a reentry permit.

Sorry to divert the topic, But how can one sponsor their parents for GC. Throw some light.

I am interested in learning how one can sponsor GC for their parents, I am not a citizen of US. Can a US GC holder sponsor GC for their parents or need to be a citizen.

If they have the extension notice

They can travel back with it.

It would be worthwhile to check at the home country Consulate before booking tickets
