Can One Work With Pending Ead Application? (h1b Not Extended)

Hi,
My EAD is expiring on Oct31,01 and I don\'t have H1B now. My I-485 ND is 10/00 and VSC is processing cases with ND 10/1/00. Shall I wait for sometime and then applied at VSC for EAD Reneal? If it did not get approved before Oct31st, Can I work with pending EAD approval notice? It seems VSC is taking about 90 days to approve EAD.
Suggetions/advice highly appreciated.

I don\'t under why you didn\'t apply for EAD renewal as yet? What would create more problems - apply for EAD renewal or allowing your EAD to expire? I would suggest apply for the renewal ASAP.

You are not supposed to work while EAD application is pending. You can get EAD by just walkin to local INS office.
