I had my interview for immigration to canada in L.A. Do I have to stay here to get immigration visa, or can I send to canadian embassy in L.A my passport for stamping from my country.

If it is possible (legally) to mail your passport from the country you are moving to then there is no problem.

BUT LA will not send your stamped passport to your country of residence. They will require you to give them a mailing address in US.
