Can one do \'Self-Employed\' work using EAD?

I am sure you can do that as a secondary job. But, If you are using AC21 to change jobs after 180 days or you have been laid off from the job by your GC sponsoring employer I am not sure how you will show same/similar job while being self-employed as a primary job. If you mean you are going to go 1099 as opposed to a W2 but in a similar occupation that may work. Just my thoughts on this, I have no anecdotal evidence of anybody having done this before.
