Hi
I am having one year 3 entry visa issued @ chennai consulate. Two months back i came here to give my exam (i am a doctor). Immigration officer @ POE asked me for duration of stay. I told him as 1 or 2 months. He refused and gave me 2 weeks after verifying all my documents including examination confirmation letter and he rounded the entries and made it as 2.
Then i returned back to India within 2 weeks. I enquired about the same in US embassy in chennai and they told me that this indicates two remaining entries.
Yesterday i came back to US. The officer didnt make any mark in entry column.He gave me 3 months ( up to November 1st)
Now i am tensed. I need one more entry to attend my interviews (by december and january) so that i can continue my higher education here.
What it indicates actually? Can immigration officer reduce the number of entries? I am really confused ane tensed.
Any inputs will be highly appreciated
