Hello my friends: my NIW I-140 was approved based on some research projects done in the university. Now I am graduating and I am wondering if I can take an job from regular companies outside universities----by the time I get green card RFE, I will still be collaborating with professors in the University on a number of academic papers and even grant proposals that are in the national Interest, although I will be paid by the company, not the university. Both the company and university faculty can testify my NIW work though. Please advise.
