Can my wife get her medical exam done in her home country?

Hi Guys,

I am on H-1B, my wife is on H4. We are planning to apply canada PR. But she will probibally be out of US for a while. I am wondering when the request for medical exam come, can she get her medical exam done in her home country?

Also Does she need to be finger printed as well?

Any info is helpful, thank you very much..

Yes, she as well as you can get the medicals done anywhere by a certified doctor (on the list). The doctor will send the medical records to Ottawa. We got ours done from our home country when we visited there. Your spouse will also need to get her fingerprints done for the criminal check.
