Can my mother travel on visitor visa to US with approved I-130 filed as part of consular processing

I filed the GC petition for my mother over 15 months back and the I-130 petition just got approved. I had bought tickets for her end of June to visit me for a few months on a valid visitor visa. Given this development of I-130 being approved, can she still continue to visit me for 4 months and go back while submitting documents to NVC for next steps ? Or should we cancel her trip and have her stay in India till the consular processing is fully completed which can take a year ?
 
If she can convince the officer that she will visit briefly and then leave on time, they will let her in.
