Can my client start my Green Card process though they haven't sponsored my H1B?

Hello everyone,

My client wants to start my green card process. Though my client hasn't sponsored my H1B, for future employment they want to start my GC. Is this possible? At what point in my GC process that I should start working fill-time for the client to get the Green Card? I don't have much time left in my H1B. I badly need to start my GC ASAP.

I would really appreciate any response.

I agree with Jharkhandi

I agree with Jharkhandi, but not sure about "You will need to join before filing 485".

I think what Jharkhandi mean is after appoving your green card you need to join the client, you can join your client after you get your EAD in case you run out of time for your H1 or if you want to join by yourself.
