Dear all;
I am going to land in Toronto next week with my wife, son, daughter. However, my wife is pregnant in the 8th month. She is due for delivery on March 15, 2005
Can my wife accompany me to Canada so we can land together. OR would she have a problem getting into the plane because she is pregnant
My Question:
1- What are the restrictions that are placed on the pregnant ladies for getting in the planes.
2- Once mw wife delivers, and would like to go home, does the newborn baby has to be a certain age to get in the plane or it does not matter!!!

Thank you for your assistance

Thank you for your reply, however, when my wife boards, how can anybody tell if she is in the 8th or 9th month of pregnancy?
Thank You

The airlines generally ask for a certificate from your doctor stating that she is less than 32 weeks pregnant. They may ask you the certificate if they suspect that she may be more than 32 weeks.
And come on man, Dont think of getting around airlines people at this stage, think of the safety of your wife and the baby, Do whatever is in their best interest medically !!

hey dude

if the safety is the issue,then question of travelling when some one is 28 weeks or 32 weeks pregnant,does not arise .simply donot travel

I know this is your personal matter, but I will strongly suggest you not to travel now. Its just not worth the risk of subjecting a 9 months pregnant lady to the physical and mental turmoil of foreign travel (since due date is March 15th, she will be in 9th month soon.)
