Can L1B visa holder work for another employer part-time?

A valid L1B holder is seeking secondary income by working part-time for another job. Does she need to consult with her own company who has sponsored the L1B visa? Is it legal to work two jobs under one L1B? Thanks for your advice.
 
No, I do not think so.

When you are on L1, you are working for the same company on deputation and I do not think that you can take up another part time job. To get extra income, one option is to get EAD for spouse and then he/she will be able to take up any legal work. no restrictions.
