Can kids sign own passport?

I am not aware of age. I would say if the kid can sign, then let him/her sign the passport. I know a US border immigration officer made my kid sign a non-US passport despite my protestations that it was not required by that foreign country regulations.

Please check this page that explains what to do when the child is too young to sign the passport:

Question on N-600

Huracan,

I am looking to submit N-600K to get a ceriticate of Citizenship for my son who does not leave in US. Do I have to appear for another interview as I am submitting application on his behalf? I see that you have obtained N-600 so I thought you might be the right person to ask.

Thanks in advance for you reply.

This is what I did

Is there any age requirement to sign the passport? Can kids sign their own passport? Thank you!

My kids are 2 & 4. As a parent, I went ahead and signed their names on the passport as they are too young to hold a pen properly in their hands and write their names.

This is called thread hijacking ;) Anyway, I don't know much about N-600K, in my case (N-600) they didn't make us go for interview, I know that at their discretion, for N-600 cases they schedule interviews. I am not sure for N-600K, but it looks like they might always schedule an interview. Anyway, I understand that the interview is mostly a formality it is not like having to prepare for history questions as in N-400. However, it seems that for N600K the child also has to be present at the interview and has to be younger than 18 all the way to the issuance of the certificate, certainly the day of the interview, which might be the same day he/she gets the certificate.

IO made me sign my kids passport at the point of entry.
Child passport should be signed by one of the parents and you can note SIGNED BY MOTHER/FATHER.
