I went to stamping in DETROIT lat month..as my pass port is xpiring next june they said, they can NOTt stamp my PP, but they stamped on I-94 kind of card with my picture...which is as good as stamping in the pp. Now I am planning to renew my passport, can I go the the DETROIT office again for stamping in the New Passport?
 
that's odd.
You went for stamping in July 2004 and your passport is expiring in June 2005..and they did not stamp your passport???
Not sure if your country's embassy will let you renew your passport that early.
 
I guess they want the passport to be valid for at least as long as the stamp is good for, which is 1 year. It makes sense, unfortunately.
