Can I work on AP ?

I may have to go to India for some emergency, so filed AP. I am currently on H1. If I use AP then when I come back my H1 with vanish. So do I nede to apply EAD then, rtaher now since it takes time. Can I work on AP. Is it also a work authorization, I dont believe so.

this has been well discussed in a previous thread in this forum, please look back.
AP is used for travel and has nothing to do with work. Your H1 is valid even if you use the AP.
