Hi gurus,
Does any of you gurus have experience with this situation? Can 1 of them be Part-time H1-B and the other full-time? Is part-time defined as anything less than 40hrs/week or is it lesser than that?
There are no conflict of interest issues here.
Any inputs would be appreciated and should definitely useful to some of the folks on this site.
Thanks.

Can I also transfer my current Full-time H1-B to Part time H1-B.

Hi Srikanth & Jim,
Thanks for your info. I am assuming from your answers I can also transfer my current Full-time H1-B with Company A to Part time H1-B. Do I do this as a Change of Status (COS) and simultaneously file another Change of Status (COS) with Company B as a Full-time H1-B and both with "Concurrent"?
Do either of you know how this affects the Green Card processing??
Thanks

You\'d need to file an H-1 amendment

I\'ve never heard of any problems with the H-1 not being filed as "concurrent" I\'m just pointing out that for it to be done correctly, at least the second filing should be filed as concurrent employment. You certainly need to file an amended H-1 petition if you are no longer working for that employer full-time.

Jim
