Yes you definitely can. That's what I do. I teach computer classes at a secondary school on an H-1B. Just make sure you have a valid H-1B that reflects the teaching position.

I was wondering if you could share with me how can one pursue career in Teaching on H visa. My wife is on H4 visa and she wants to work as a teacher. How can she find an institute which can sponsor her for H1. What kind of techer certification is required etc.
