Can I walk in and apply emergency AP?

The NOA of all my application forms are Nov 10, and I am waiting for FP schedule letter. My question is can I get an infopass and walk in to apply for emergency AP. My reason is I haven't seen my parents for 5 1/2 years, so I want to spend the New Year with them and to have my wedding ceremony there. They haven't met my husband yet.
Any suggestion? TIA

You can try. The last thing that they can tell you is NO, right? Remember to check the warning on AP.
Good luck, let us know how was your walk-in.

They will "only" issue an emergency AP when there is a "true emergency".

I did a walk in without a doctors note and I didn't get pass the first floor. I went back with a doctors note indicating that my grandmother was ill- but I still couldn't get through because I did not have my mothers birth certificate proving the relationship. After I went back again, I finally got it!

Unfortunately your reason, is a want and not a dire need/emergency. But- who knows- maybe you live in a smaller town and they are more flexible. It is really up to the discretion of the officer. They did not take my check before telling me that I could not get through, so doing a walk in is worth the try.

Please note this is based on a walk in/expedited request, I am not sure if it will be any different if you submit an application and wait the normal processing time.

Form I-131 For Ap

I must apologise ahead of time for the lengthy post but I really have no clue about AP so I am relying on those who have already been through the process. I downloaded the form and read through it but still have some questions.
I filed forms I-130, I-485 and I-765 a few months ago, did my FP and biometrics last month but did not file for AP. Is it too late now for me to file? Do they only approve AP in cases where there is an emergency? I have not seen my parents and siblings in a few years now and was wondering if USCIS considers this was a valid reason to apply. Please share with me your experiences with applying for AP.

My questions are as follows:
1) What is meant by class of admission? Does this mean the status in which I first enetered the USA?
2) Is it ok to say that I would like the AP for more than one trip?
3) On average, for how long is the AP document valid?
4) In part 7 where it says to write on a separate sheet of paper how I qualify, could someone please elaborate.
5) They also ask for copies of documents to be considered but if I am just going to visit my family how does documents apply.
6) Lastly, where would I mail the form. My AOS package was sent to the Chicago lockbox and then forwarded from there to Lees Summit, Missouri.I am thinking that I should send it to Missouri since they have my AOS application.

Thanks in advance for your help!

No. You can still file for AP

Though AP is meant for emergency travel, you can use it for other purposes too.

You can give the reason as a family get together. USCIS cannot lock you inside US till they decide on your GC application

My questions are as follows:
1) What is meant by class of admission? Does this mean the status in which I first enetered the USA?
Yes. For e.g. If you entered US using H1B, you write H1-B.
2) Is it ok to say that I would like the AP for more than one trip?
Yes
3) On average, for how long is the AP document valid?
For one year from the date it was issued
4) In part 7 where it says to write on a separate sheet of paper how I qualify, could someone please elaborate.
Look at the AOS interview timeline thread. I have included a sample letter which you can improvise to suit your needs.

5) They also ask for copies of documents to be considered but if I am just going to visit my family how does documents apply.
What documents are you talking about?
6) Lastly, where would I mail the form. My AOS package was sent to the Chicago lockbox and then forwarded from there to Lees Summit, Missouri.I am thinking that I should send it to Missouri since they have my AOS application.
The instructions are on your form. When in doubt, call USCIS to confirm.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I assume bugs05 was talking about the explanation letter,

in that case, no document is needed. Just write a short explanation letter saying that you wish to visit other country or whatever. I know people got AP even without any letter.

They can not lock you in, but they sure can lock you out (LOL)

I needed supporting document because my application was based on an expedited request in order to pretty much "skip to the front of the line". I don't believe the supporting documents requirement applies to you if you are going to wait through the normal processing time. Make sure you are reading the instructions correctly- call the 800 number if you need clarification or confirmation.
