Can I use old LC with a new employer???

Hi,

I almost got through the entire GC process with my previous company but something unfortunate happened and now I might have to start my GC with a new company. Since my H1-B will run out soon would it be possbile for me to use my old LC from my previous company with my new compnay and start at the I-140 stage? The job category and the location is similar to my old position with my previous employer. Please advise?

No, the old LC cannot be used

You can use the priority date. The old employer can use the LC for another employee. You need to file a new LC with the new employer since LCs are employer specific.
