can i use my EAD?

Hi

I am on h4 visa. I got my EAD in December 2004 from my husband's application. I have not used it yet.I got one good project recently. We got our I485 denied. Can I now work on my EAD? I know I got it rejected with my I485 denial. But some forum says thats ok. I can work. I am really confused.

And If I start working and they find out what are the consequences? Please help I am really worried.

No. If your 485 rejected, your EAD will not be valid. IS the 485 rejected based on I-140? Than all your EAD, AP will be invalid.

Yes I485 is rejected because of I140 rejection. But if my I140 is under MTR,
after that my EAD is valid? cause eventually I am going to file my I485. And I read somewhere, after I get rejection of I485 still I can work on my EAD for 6 months. Thats what make me more confuse.

Please help
