Can I use drop box in India from USA?

Hi,

I have to get my H1B stamped in my passport. It will be a F1 to H1 transfer. After 1st April, the rules are changed for reentry in USA using I-94 from Canada and US Consulate sites are also asking for getting the Visa stamped from the home country.

My Problem is that I have to visit Europe for a week on official work. But I don\'t have the H1 visa which is needed for reentry.

I know that in India there is drop box for F1 to H1 transfer. So Can I send my all paper work to the drop box (through some one over there)? Will I get the visa or there will be any problem?

you can run in problems with INS....

how could you have got a visa issued in India without getting out of the USA ( since you still have your I-94 !)
Also you are not allowed to send your passport out of the country.
 
I Came to USA on F1 Visa

I came to on F1 visa from India and after compliting my Masters I applied for H1b. Right now I am working in US using H1 status. I still don\'t have it stamped on my passport. Hence need the stamp to come back USA.
 
if your dropbox is in bombay, dont worrry, just go to ...

bombay and get it done. it is very straightforward.
