can i use approval letter for a social security

Hi everybody I came across this site an I love it you guys are very good and I found a lot of help here. My question si I just got approved and received welcome leter for 1-797 with my A# etc, can i use this for a social security card?
 
Approval letter is not proof of PR. You need the card or the stamp. I would wait until i get the card in hand.
