Hi,
Here is the scenario:
I entered US using AP and have approved(but not stamped) H1 valid till 03/2007.
the AP expired on JAn 27/ 2006 and I applied renewal but still awaiting approval. I have the receipt from them dated 2/03/06 and RD of 1/27/06 ut I guess they are processing 1/12 RDs so I do not expect anything before 2 weeks. This is a TSC case btw.
Now I have a project to go to Canada immediately this week.
Can I go there and get my H1 stamped and return on H1.
If for some reason the H1 is not stamped, then going by what I have read here, I think I will be screwed as I left without approved AP.
Can I get an interim AP? I dop't want to lie about illness etc. so can urgent work reason be enough to issue an interim AP? Is it worth the effort to go there?
I need to quickly decide whether I should take this work up or not?
