Can I transfer an EAD from one I-485 to another?

I've obtained an EAD from an "employment-based I-485". Now, my wife is getting her citizenship real soon, and we've decided to file an "family-based I-485". Can I re-attach my EAD to the new I-485? Or do I have to apply for a new EAD? Please let me know. Thanks.
 
Switching employer while applying for I485

Hi:

I am sorry if I am misplacing this post; I just joined the forum but have an urgent question to ask. Would appreciate any advice.

My I140 was approved recently; and I will be working on my I-485. I wish to switch employer in the meantime, my questions are:
* Does my future employer have to hire me in the same capacity as my current employer, ie: same job description, same pay, etc
* Does my future employer have to go through the process of advertising in the various media to prove lack of local talent to fill the required post?

I have been reading on the forum quite a bit of horror story about the length of time for I485 processing. Is it true it takes years?
