Can I take up a parttime 2nd Job on EAD?

Dear Fellow Swimmers,

My EB2 I140/I485 concurrent filed at VSC on April 2004 is still pending approval. In the meantime I am still on H1B extension and have not used EAD for my sponsering company.

Now an another company is offering me a part time consulting gig. Can I accept that on my EAD? What, if any, implications it might have on pending/future processings?

Any help and guidance is appreciated,

You can use EAD if you choose to do. however your H1 status will be abandoned if you use your EAD (associated with I-485). This means you lost your non-immigration status upon the time you use EAD.

What you said is true. As soon as you start EAD, you loose H1B. so you will have to work on EAD with your full time employer also. If 140 is approved, I would say go for it, else I would wait till 140 is cleared.
