Can I take brake until GC approved?

Hi,
Just curious if I could go for "vacation" waiting on my I-485 be approved. As far as I know more important is offer of job by my sponsoring company after GC approved. I have friend waiting for BC in their country because of problems on consulting markets.
Do you guys think that it is safe? My sponsoring company stating that gives me a letter with job offer in case interview.

Could you please rephrase it?

If you are asking wether you can quit your job until GC, the answer is 'no'.

Can you be without pay? ... yes but if you get an RFE you will be in trouble.

Is it wise to travel with no proper job, absolutely not.
