Can I switch my N-400 application to the 5 years rule at the time of the interview?

I did not apply under the 5 year rule even though I was eligible for it when I filled the application. I instead applied under the married to US Citizen for 3 years rule.

My question is. Can I still go to the interview and have them treat my application under the 5 years rule if I get a divorce before the interview? Or do I have to withdraw my application and then resubmit it under the 5 year rule instead.
