Can I start on a new job on approved EAD without having the physical EAD card?

Hi Guys,
My Ead renewal got approved recently (new card ordered ...online msg). I dont hv the EAD card as yet. Can I start on a new job or Do I have to wait to receive the EAD card. Appreciate your answers.

I think it depends on your employer..

You cannot start the new job until and unless you get the physical card as per my lawyer. Sorry.

When you start a new job you have to fill in a form to show employment eligibility. You have to have card in your hand. However of your employer is OK and he can delay filling up of that form till you get your actual card no problem.
