Dear forum users,
I'm a Chilean citizen living in California since October, 2006. I came here on a B2 Visa to be with my fiancée, who's a Brazilian citizen who entered with a L1 Visa.
We got married in California in October and then I applied for a L2 Visa through her company. The papers went through and my Visa status was extended from B2 to L2.
We are going to get married at the Church in Brazil next October, so we will need to get out of the USA and then get back. Since she got her L1 Visa before leaving Brazil, she has it stamped on her passport, but I don't have mine stamped on my passport yet because I only got the Visa extension while living here in the USA.
If I don't get my L2 Visa stamped on my passport, I won't be able to re-enter to the USA after our wedding in Brazil. Do any of you know if there's a way to get my L2 Visa stamped on my passport here in the USA? Or will I have to get out of the USA and apply again in Chile to get it stamped on my passport? Do I really need to get back to Chile to do it, or is it possible to do it at Mexico or Canada, for instance?
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all
