I am currently on H1B. I have a valid EAD and AP. My AP is due for renewal and an application has already been filed with USCIS .
My wife is on h4, she does not have a I485 application. She is currently in India. I wish to revoke her H4 visa since our marriage is on the verge of collapse. If I travel to mexico for couple of days and return on AP then will my H1 and her H4 get revoked? I've heard that I will not get a new I94 if I travel to mexico for only 2 days. In this case will I even change status by entering on AP? Also, if my I485 is rejected then can i move back to H1b status later?
Also what happens to my wife's H4 Visa when I get my Green card? Is it automatically cancelled? Can she still enter the US?
